Tampa Microwave Introduces New 1.3m SATCOM Terminal

Tampa Microwave is proud to introduce the next version of our 1.3 meter VSAT, designated the FA130 V(2). With this design, we have built upon our previous terminal architecture and incorporated a simplified pedestal, a more rugged antenna petal design and a lighter weight tripod. Available in X, Ku and Ka band versions, the V(2) terminal still utilizes the same receiver / transmitters, power supply and modem modules used in our existing manpack family. This commonality permits users to leverage their investment in any one of our terminals by adding antenna, modem or frequency upgrade kits to improve their link budget, access different space segments or join a variety of networks supported by Tampa Microwave modules. The entire terminal weighs less than 100lbs and packs into two transit cases that both meet the requirements for checked baggage. The terminal made its debut at the AUSA conference, October 12–15, 2015 at the Convention Center in Washington DC.
